How well does this type of setup work? I figured the back towel wouldn't get dry very quickly, since the front towel would be blocking most of the air flow, but was curious, since I was trying to find a towel rod for multiple towels.

air doesnt travel in straight lines. your heat or a/c vents are from your ceiling or to the side in your bathrooms.

you can invent your own racks. but bathrooms do not have alot of wall. see how your gonna stack your towels

Yeah, this would likely be more in a location not directly under a vent or a fan (in a closet). We currently have two longer towel rods, but were trying to consolidate it some.

like i said they dont travel in straight line no need to be under the vent to dry. in fact when your exausted fan activated. it started to circlulate your tiny bathroom air pretty affectively. same concept with your cloth dryer. the sensor doesnt need to touch every piece of your clothes to tell if theyre all dried
