Klein tools are usually excellent, but an automatic wire stripper is a better tool.

I saw a video where the dude uses the Irwin ones, looks pretty good. I have a no brand one that I never use because it's so awful.

The Knipex 12 62 180 is as cheap as I would go for a good automatic wire stripper.

I think I bought the non-heavy duty Klein one of these for $21 or so and love it. My only reservation about this one would be if it were heavier by much (I use a thinner set of pliers more often), but I wouldn't second-guess this brand for this genre of tool.

I have the Irwin, it works well on some wires and not so good on others. I think it depends on how thick/tough the insulation is. If too much, it exceeds the gripping power and just stretches the insulation instead of cutting it cleanly.

I have this tool and it mostly sits in my bag. My go to is always the Irwin automatic stripper. If the sheathing is too slippery and the Irwin fails, which rarely happens, then I use this. Also this version annoys me because it doesn't have a latch to store it closed position. It occupies a lot of space in that sprung open position.

What tool am I supposed to use to strip off the outer romex sheathing? Or how do you strip the outdoor style cable?! That's what I need.

Google nm cable ripper - razor knife for extension cable. If you're doing it for scrap there are techniques for bulk.
