I remember this being a premium brand in the 90s! This, Pioneer, Kenwood, etc. I know Kenwood is still maintained its status, and know that Pioneer went down the drain. How about Alpine? Still considered a brand name in auto audio?

If anyone is wondering, this unit does not seem to connect wirelessly for Carplay or Android Auto.

I recently decided to buy a new deck and was very disappointed. The last deck iI had allowed for DVD audio, 24 bit, 196khz, 5.1 surround sound. I couldn't find anything that allows for high definition audio with that many independent channels.

not sure it's still available and I'm not 100% satisfied (poor connectivity at times) with it, but the only one I could find less than $1000 that met that spec was a pioneer DMH-W2770NEX

How is this model and brand 5X pricier then similar gadgets that's seemingly offer most if not all same functions that have been posted here on regular basis? Is this system completely on a different level?

Hate to see the premium brands of the past offering upgraded clones of cheap Chinese radios yet with no physical volume control. $40-$80 CarPlay from Amazon like some Podofo or Atoto have wireless CarPlay, and offer 90% of functionality of this unit for 20% of the price
