Making me remember an old shop instructor. Yes, I'm old enough where all the boys took shop class in HS. We had a instructor who was a retired Navy Chief. One of his favorite expressions when a student would do something stupid was. "You are dumb enough to F' up an anvil!" 😄

That's the one I bought.

I can't wait to see the expressions of the faces of the Lowes clerks when I ask them to load it for me.

I also took wood working and electrical shop in H.S. Really enjoyed it. At 70, I still repair everything in my house. I guess those days are gone.

I asked Gemini and it said this brand gets good reviews for beginner anvils. I've bought other Vevor items (impact sockets) that were an exceptionally good value. I was notified of the anvils because I set up an alert for Vevor after buying the impact sockets.

I also priced forged steel anvils and noped out of that idea.
ideally you may find a forged old anvil from 100 years ago that may be a similar price. the market dropped in the last couple years after the lockdowns lifted and lots of people no longer had to work on a hobby because they could go out drinking instead

Just nitpicking here but a forged anvil is much stronger then a cast one. That being said, there is NO way the average Joe is going to break this!

Anviling is the new Rucking, which was the new Crossfit.

Because I just said it on the internet, it's true

it's hard to say whether these are worth it or not, though marketed as "steel" that can encompass a huge variety of quality. Better than the cast iron anvils from harbor freight but how much better may depend on the day to day quality of metal coming into the factory

heh you getting downvoted by people kneejerking the mention of AI. srs tho - you're going to get a lot of alerts if you're just doing Vevor, they make/sell damn near everything; take a tour of their web site some time

Why does this feel like an advertisement for Gemini and Vevor
