Yes, they have a BMS built in. I run this brand in my boat. However I would get a model with built in bluetooth. Being able to accurately see the battery level and other stats is very helpful.

I would get a marine battery box, it will offer a little protection and also cover the terminals.

agree good batteries. I have 2 and recently bought a 3rd. Use them in my detached shed hooked up to a solar panel and controller for lights and other small needs.

It would likely be much better assuming you have a charger for it. Chargers are like $40 if you don't have one already that is compatible.
