Msrp is a joke. These are just one step above flea market garbage.
False. I just got 2 out of 3 of these in a previous deal. the knives are definitely decent for a cheap edc. worth the $20 even if it's just to give as gifts.
That being said, I routinely give these as gifts for outdoorsy people, and they do hold up year over year; my kids have taken them camping, beaten them up, resharpened them, and they keep on going. Hard to beat the price for a light duty knife. As an adult would I carry one? Nah I have a $100 usa-made kershaw, but thats just me.

Love it when they do the three Sanrenmu bundle and they are great knives for the price and the bundle has value. Opus is a $3 knife The Sanrenmus in contrast are $10 to $15

That knife has held up using it in saltwater for me were other more expensive knives completely fail after one trip. That very low cost knife has and blade hold closed lock that is released almost imperceptibly by a ingenious mechanism built into the stud. You must slightly push down the stud to realize the blade but it works so smoothly that when flicking it open you do not realize that it happens. First one I had I tried to open the blade with two hand I thought my knife was stuck shut at first.
That is not the type of stuff you see on gas station and flea market knives. The builds on the Sanremus are rock solid and one of the only brands that I have never had screw or clip loosen on. I beat the hell of them and they just keep going and going. In contrast my China CRJB that I paid near thirty for had almost every screw loesen and the clip almost falling off after some short months
Sanrenmu was one of the first serious knife makes in China and they made for Spyderco at one time and may still. The 710 series that they make was at one time most likely the most sold knife in the world and is still great deal at $20 though at a time you could get it direct from china for under $8.
You either have never had a Sanremu or do not realize what you got as you paid little for them. Yes they are budget and cheap knives if you can catch them cheap but that are great knives. What strikes me as they that they take the build and design of very budget knives seriously which is something few manufacturers do.
You can see a detailed review of the 7049 here.
