Having this much weight hanging from your ignition column can cause excessive long term wear/damage. Also, keep in mind how much clearance you'll need to actually turn the key before smacking it against your dash.
No. Just no. As a kid of the 80s, I remember keychains with so many tchochkes hanging from them that it required a truck scale to weigh them and it never damaged the ignition. Where do y'all come up with this nonsense?

you are just silly if you think the lock cylinder on an automobile is that delicate. you know they have to resist theft and can't just fall apart if you hang 4oz from them right?
for the record a key weight about 0.3oz, this product weighs about half an oz...
