They are sort of different computers. The Lenovo is larger (albeit lighter) and has the Intel chip versus the AMD chip. The AMD chip generally has better CPU capabilities, but the Intel's integrated graphics are marginally better. The largest reason to prefer the HP that I can see is the additional RAM (32GB vs. 16GB). Memory on these is soldered, so you cannot upgrade later. If you're wanting to hold onto the computer for a couple of years or more, 32GB of memory is probably a wise choice.I wouldn't buy a new laptop with 16GB of soldered RAM nowadays, but that's because of my usage -- I run tons of browser tabs while I work. I ordered one of these HPs. I think I want to go test out the keyboard though before I commit. I type all day long for work, so that's a primary consideration for me. In that regard though, Lenovo keyboards are typically industry leaders.Good luck.
the key travel is a bit low and something just felt off to me on it. I probably could have gotten used to it but I like the Yogi 7i keyboard so much better. Still a great laptop but it has been cheaper open box in the past and may see better prices if you are patient.

Is hp a better one?
I have this same Lenovo laptop that you ordered; I picked it up open box for $630. It has amazing build quality, a stunning 120hz IPS screen that is mostly indistinguishable from an Oled. Keyboard and trackpad are top tier. The SSD is solid as well. I think the RAM being on-die is what actually makes the Lenovo with Intel slightly better. Super snappy and just makes the GPU a little faster. I would have preferred the 32GB for sure, but it was more than double the price at the time of purchase, although I've seen them right under $1000 a couple of times - at $900, I might have gone for that upgrade. This does use Intel Arc Battlemage GPU, and with Intel's new partnership with nVIDIA, Arc battlemage will have a very short life, since Intel will be moving to Arc Celestial for their next 3 or 4 iGPUs before switching to nVIDIA chiplets. I have a feeling Arc Battlemage will become the red-headed step child of driver development at Intel, so long term future support for the GPU is somewhat in question for me. But I still think it's a better overall laptop than this HP.

Deal is dead but I scored it for $800 - $80 for a dent in the lid.

Repasted CPU with PTM7950 and Cinebench R23 Multicore is at about 20,000 points.

HP configured this laptops TDP to flex all the way up to 54W. In performance mode, CPU can hold 54W for 20 seconds before the heatsink is heat-soaked and declines over 90 seconds to about 45W and holds there indefinitely (I held it for 5 minutes). Honestly impressive for a 14" laptop IMHO. Framework seems to cap their HX 370 at 35-40W

I have an old laptop (i7-4710HQ) always on, connected to my monitor upgraded to win11, still runs plenty fast for regular browsing (SSD, 2x8GB made amazing changes).

This new lenovo would be for mobile reasons for me and wife. Everything about the Lenovo seems solid. It felt a bit heavy compared to my Dell Latitude 2 in 1, but thats smaller size.

Did you happened to register the laptop without any issue with Lenovo? Not sure if they replace battery if failed within the timeframe. My LG TV is IPS panel. OLED is good, but when kids throw balls and stuff at TV, i dont worry much on IPS vs OLED. So laptop screen is fine (kid already started to do paint stuff on the laptop).

Overall the laptop is a solid deal (I paid $630 for a fair condition, which seemed flawless after receiving). How much of battery life are you getting? It showed 4-5 hours and after changing some settings it now shows 8 hours. Not sure if there is some setting i could do to get it max battery life. Would have bought a Mac Air 15" to try but win11 is fine for light works i do and this one seems a good buy.
