Can't recommend these... I had one die about six months after purchase. Second one had severe latency issues. Picked up an AAWireless one and it's been rock solid.

There is in fact a fix if it suddenly stops connecting after a few months, you can disassemble it which is quite easy and pop the mobo into the oven on foil for 10min at 350 and it does work. There's youtube videos. Or if you got a heat gun, just blast it for 5-10min and put it back together. Mine's been working for 3 years now.
Also Motorola has been very good at replacing them for 1 year warranty so you are good for at least 1 year before looking at cooking the chip as a solution.

Been using this for 2.5 years on a head unit without native Android Auto, no issues.

out of the 4 I have owned, all 4 died within a year. Cant recommend this product. If its compatible with your car/phone, it will work, but breaks easily.

I got mine in early 2022, I believe. Still works just fine. Occasionally doesn't connect, but that happens less with my new phone. Maybe once every few months. If I pull it out and put it back in, it works.

These are basically disposable ewaste. I gave up after going through 4 in 3 years! Can't believe Motorola won't fix this issue of them dying in the heat!

Fixed mine not too long ago with this method and it's been working well ever since

Im getting downvoted b/c it sounds dumb to be putting a chip into an oven, but that is in fact how microchips are made lmao, its literally baked.

yeah I almost tossed mine out until I looked this up, I saw people mentioning doing it 2-3 times because it keeps breaking if you go through the seasons with cold/hot weather

does it support multiple phones ? Most of the adapters i came across only allow paring with 1 phone. to connect another phone you need to unpair previous phone and pair new one. that is unlike car's built in AA which support multiple phones to pair allow you to choose the one you want to use at a time.

Bad price on a terrible unit. I've gone through 4 replacements, all ending up with connectivity drop issues.
For this price, just get the AAWireless Two.

I'll give this a try! The first one I had quit connecting after just under 2 years and I tossed it but the one I have now just started acting up yesterday. Good timing
