Thanks OP! Purchased two sauce pans and the 14-in D3 Wok, listed under "stir fry".

Ya - I have the 3qt D3 and the handle on my 1.5qt Everyday is amazing. Trying to replace all my D3 with Everyday now (for the models they make)

I have them all: The original D3 with straight rims, the new D3 with flared rims, and the D3 Everyday (with smoother handle and flared rims).

I have to be honest. The differences aren't terribly meaningful, but the original D3 is probably still my favorite. The handle is super "grippy" and the lids fit more securely.

For sauce pans, the bigger difference is between sauce pans and sauciers. I much prefer the sauciers for virtually all uses.

But if you hate the original handle, get the Everyday. No need to overthink it.

If you have questions about this sale, or about seconds, or about All-Clad vs other brands, or about the differences between the various All-Clad products, check out the sticky All-Clad FAQ thread on the product forums. I try to keep it up to date. Suggestions welcome.

Copper core vs aluminum core. Copper core offers better conductivity.

What has a larger cooking surface, the 3qt sauté pan or the 12in fry pan?

I can tell you I returned the Costco 12 pc D3 set as I did not like the older style handles. I got a great deal on this set with xmas sale price plus an extra $50 off promo a year or two back

Paid about $150 more for the D3 everyday 10pc set direct from All Clad for the more comfortable (curved closed) handles.

I would do this again as the curved indented handles on the regular D3 did not feel good and hurt my hands with weight in the heavier pots/pans. Had the wife try them and she agreed the D3's were uncomfortable empty.

But I could see where a professional cook might prefer the D3's indented handles if they were constantly turning / flipping heavy of pans for hours on end and were wearing a mit the entire time.

+1 for the D3 Everyday handle... I returned a better priced D3 set to costco and would do it again.
