Back ordered . Even though it said online only , ship to store for free was available.
Reviews I recall said this M12 version was fairly weak best used as a spot blower. Not at all like leaf blower power

it's possible NT will ship half the order, cancel the backordered part, label it a mistake, and bill you full price.

they have a history of doing that

This is a vacuum, not a blower...?I absolutely love mine. My big corded vac mostly stays stationary and connected to a miter saw while this little vac gets 90% of the use. Love it.

You really need the 5ah HO battery for this - it eats batteries fast and also struggles with suction if you don't use a HO one.

I have this and it's awesome for cleaning out the cars/camper.

Flip side of this deal, I have not had good luck with back ordered Northern Tool stuff.... almost always gets cancelled.

Ive owned many shop vacs in my life and this is my favorite one. One thing I got was a hose extension so I don't have to keep moving it around when vacuuming out my car.

Ugh. I have the same problem with NT and back ordered products (eventually getting cancelled). Or if the product gets damaged during shipping and gets sent back to NT, they'll cancel the order, even though you can order another one on their site (in stock) after the sale is over.

But I still ordered one for a Christmas present. We'll see how it goes.

I haven't done the tool app in a long time. Do I still just go there and pick up the tool I want and just cancel the one I don't want?

Exactly what happened to me. Was a huge pain. In my case they also didn't notify in any way they were canceling, so by the time I realized and followed up it was a huge pain to return the part I did get.
