As for the windows on arm factor. Most people won't be affected. If you have specific software needs research that first. But if I didn't know it was WoA I wouldn't know.

Most of my programs run native arm. A few I used to run in x86 on my 2021 xps 13 downloaded as web apps from the Microsoft store by default on this machine and they work the same.

Out of curious I also downloaded the x86 versions and they ran just fine.

Battery life is enough for all day for me and runs significantly cooler than my old intel machine.

I don't game on this so I'm not sure about that aspect but there are plenty of videos that cover it.

that's a good deal. I just bought a certified refurbished from Microsoft and do the trade-in of my surface book 2 that I paid almost 6,000 for back in 2017. got 327 for it. I have no issues with Windows on arm. this thing complements my MacBook Pro just fine. slight weight and for the window stuff that I need to do at this point it does them as I need it. I don't game on my computers and that's not an issue. so I don't know anywhere else where I would specifically have an issue. I downloaded DaVinci resolve but I have not used it yet.

it's fast, I never see it load or have any issues between using any type of apps that are arm native and some that aren't.

buying from microsoft, I got 20% cash back from PayPal and the trade-in of the laptop. so 405-12 GB storage, and the sand dune color, I'm paying about 300 think $20. where is with this computer it would be just a little less so I'm still going to keep my deal

I ask here since you mention it, what is Windows on arm? I'll do a search also. I'm looking for an office/business type laptop

Windows on Arm is a special version of Windows designed to run on computers powered by Arm processors, which are the same kind of chips used in most smartphones (and as of a few years ago, MacBooks). Unlike traditional Windows laptops that use Intel or AMD chips (known as x86 architecture), devices running Windows on Arm advertise longer battery life, always-on internet connectivity (like 4G or 5G), and are often lighter, and run much cooler.Basically, most users won't even notice a difference with Windows on Arm. Programs like Microsoft Office, Slack, web browsers already have. More and more apps are being specially built for Arm devices, but most older Windows apps can also run through emulation if needed. The emulated apps do suffer a small efficiency and battery penalty. And some apps nice apps won't work in emulation. The biggest benefits are longer battery, instant wake-up, and features typical of smartphone, making these devices ideal for people who favor https://youtu.be/vJEbP2Vdq2U?si=k...ortability. Here's a marques brownie video from a year ago. So something's have changed

If anyone is wondering about gaming, don't forget about options such as GeForce Now which I'm so happy I kept my founders plan all these years. So useful for devices like this.

Love the form factor of the surface and the battery life is insane compared to what I'm used to with traditional laptops. I browse, code, and do some creative work on mine, hasn't broken a sweat.
