Decent card at a decent price for having 16 GB memory and PCIe 5.

Modest power requirements and no coil whine.

The number is bigger but the performance increase is marginal. At least go up to a 9070.

It's about 20-30% faster in rasterization and RT, and also has double the VRAM. It's not a huge upgrade, but is a little more futureproof.

does his 3060 still play his games at a decent fps? if so, why upgrade?

I really like this card but don't feel like it's a big enough upgrade from a 6700 XT. Really need to go up to a 9070 to see a big jump but we can't have those at $550 apparently.

Same here, have a 6700 XT currently. I'd actually pull the trigger since NewEgg would let me trade-in my 6700 XT and it's just +$120 to upgrade. However, I don't really *need* it, and like how my 6700 XT Red Devil looks more honestly lol

How does this compare to Intel Arc B580 12GB?

28% faster for the most part.

That increases the higher the resolution.

This is a 1440 card and the arc is a 1080 card. If you just need a 1080 card you can save some cash but the arc wont perform as well as this card at any resolution.

It's about 20-30% faster and more future proof because of double the v-ram.

Personally I wouldn't unless you only do 1440 or higher.

I built a pc many years ago and don't game but do a lot of work & Youtube watching on it. It has the ASUS PRIME X470-Pro MOBO which is PCIe 3.0 so would getting this card really help since it's PCIe 5? I currently have a EVGA GEFORCE GTX 1650 SUPER. I run dual 34" monitors and since my current VC only has 1 DP I use 1 display via DP and the other via HDMI... Thank you in advance

For this card specifically, you won't see a difference being on PCIe 4.0 vs 5.0, however - you probably will with 3.0. There is still a benefit to the upgrade, but you might be bandwidth limited by the PCIe 3.0 port.
