I built a pc many years ago and don't game but do a lot of work & Youtube watching on it. It has the ASUS PRIME X470-Pro MOBO which is PCIe 3.0 so would getting this card really help since it's PCIe 5? I currently have a EVGA GEFORCE GTX 1650 SUPER. I run dual 34" monitors and since my current VC only has 1 DP I use 1 display via DP and the other via HDMI... Thank you in advance
For this card specifically, you won't see a difference being on PCIe 4.0 vs 5.0, however - you probably will with 3.0. There is still a benefit to the upgrade, but you might be bandwidth limited by the PCIe 3.0 port.
Thank you very much!!!!

My son has a 3060ti is this good enough to warrant an upgrade?
Daniel Owen did a ton of testing against several games. Probably, not worth $350 + tax to be underwhelmed by minor performance increase.
RTX 3060 Ti vs RX 9060 XT 16GB- Is the upgrade worth it?

How does this compare to Intel Arc B580 12GB?
For only $100 more this would be the better value and you won't have to worry about CPU overhead. Especially, now that the Intel Arc B580 with free Battlefield 6 ($70) deal has ended

48.8% more than Intel Arc B580 for ~33% higher frame rates on most games.
16GB VRAM longer future proofing.

Only comparing for gaming. Other workloads - nVidia is still best and IDK how Intel Arc is for rendering h.265 or AV1.

Here is the more factual ChatGPT response. TLDR; 16GB version MIGHT be OK for you.

PCIe 3.0 x16 is sufficient for the AMD RX 9060 XT 16GB in nearly all gaming and general workloads.

🔍 What the Benchmarks Say
In tests like F1 25 at 1440p, the RX 9060 XT 16GB on PCIe 3.0 x16 delivered ~73 FPS, which was virtually identical to its performance on PCIe 4.0 and 5.0.

The 8GB variant, however, suffered massive drops (down to 35 FPS on PCIe 3.0) due to VRAM overflow and reliance on system RAM.

🧠 Why 16GB Makes the Difference
With 16GB of VRAM, the GPU rarely needs to offload assets to system memory.
That means PCIe bandwidth isn't a limiting factor, even on Gen 3.

PCIe 3.0 x16 offers ~16 GB/s, which is more than enough unless you're doing heavy compute, AI training, or extreme modded gaming that exceeds VRAM.

28% faster for the most part.

That increases the higher the resolution.

This is a 1440 card and the arc is a 1080 card. If you just need a 1080 card you can save some cash but the arc wont perform as well as this card at any resolution.
A 9060, XT or not is not a 1440p card. I don't care who you are.

How do you figure? 60fps or higher in every game out at 1440 doesn't make it a 1440 card?

It only comes in XT 16gb variant, and it's absolutely a 1440p GPU. I even run 1440p on my aging 6600 XT and it's fine for what I do. Why do you think it isn't?

Do the games you play run fine now? Do you NEED to upgrade for some reason?

For 1080 gaming you're fine now. I'd wait.

If you want 1440 then yeah. Honestly you could probably sell both for around 200. Pretty big upgrade for 150 if you look at it that way.
