Word of warning. This isn't really a medieval FPS type of game. It very much is a medieval simulator. The game is 65% dialog, 15% fighting, 10% mixing stuff together in repeated and grueling slow detail, and 10% washing your clothes and self.

One of the most challenging games I've played--imagine being a very weak and normal dude in the 1400s starting with almost no clothes, weapons, or relationships. You're going to get lost, beat up, starve, etc. a lot. That said, interesting game--never seen anything quite like it.

I've had trouble convincing myself to get this one. The controls for the first one were incredibly frustrating and it seems like its the same concept here. They should've at least made a mode where it has mainstream controls, similar to a Skyrim of sorts. The story seems great and all, but I dont want tedious controls. I'll wait until its under $10 (which the first one was when I got it)

Buying the Gold edition and getting access to all the DLC for only $10 more seems like the better value proposition.

Yet it's a lot more fun in practice than this sounds Lol! There's an element of surprise when traveling, which is exciting - is it bandits, a fist fight, or shady merchants? Always new random encounters on the roads.

it is worth to get gold edition, having your own real estate with a lot of new quests is super fun and made me finish this game second time (didn't finish yet because stuck in my own blacksmith stuff)

I am playing this game right now and really enjoying it. Previously played KCD2 when it came out and loved it. As others have said, this is very immersive so you start off very weak and unskilled. Advancing your character is what makes this fun, more than fighting. Infinite choices and outcomes with a fantastic story. 9/10
