These are just 46c each! Come on folks, that's just twice the price of the cheapest alkalines. I've been using them in remote controls, small flashlights, thermometers, and headlamps for awhile and I'm not disappointed. Sure they aren't as good as disposable lithiums or even alkalines but at this price there's no reason to complain. I do agree they're not low self discharge but again... 46c! Eneloops cost $2 on sale. I keep on finding more little devices that eat up AAAs and keep replacing them with these and I've stopped buying disposable alkalines.

LOW SELF DISCHARGE: Maintains 80% capacity for 24 months

I call BS! I just opened mine from order 16 months ago and they are all dead. some are giving me difficulty charging. I figured these were reasonably similar to eneloop but not in my experience

High expectation to think they would be similar to eneloops.

I used these for remotes, thermostats and room thermometer/hygrometers. They're not eneloops but they serve my needs.

These are only 1.2v and appropriate mainly for outdoor solar lights. Do not use these in modern electronic devices other than remote controls. These are also terrible quality batteries that do not last long. Slickdeals keeps posting these as front page because they earn a referral fee.

Bad batch. Exchange them.

I've had a set of AA and AAA for over a year. They've held up well charging them in my eneloop charger.

Side note, I bought a 4 pack of Eneloop AA's in ~2006 or 7. Cost me nearly $40 back then but they still hold a charge almost 20 years later with regular use.

$6.60 w/ S&S. $0.41/each. Definitely not as good as Eneloop but the regular Amazon Basics have been decent. These are apparently slightly fatter than normal so fit could be an issue in some applications.

Every time these pop up on SD I always see negative comments. My kids have endless little toys that require batteries - are these ok for that, or do I need "better" rechargeables?

you're confusing it with cheap non NiMh Batteries. Alkalines leak because internal gas builds up and will seeps out as white corossive substance through the seals.

NiMh batteries have a pressure relief vent that releases gas. eventually they can also leak, but for that you have to overcharge / break them.

Been using these in led candlelights on a timer and they only last a few weeks now after months of them lasting almost twice as long.
