Most reviewers seem to suggest these are better than the 3's too.

You can buy the tips that come with the 3's and add them to this.
Seriously doubt these are better than the new AirPod Pro 3's. It is in incremental upgrade, but guarantee they are better. Read the WSJ review, as they are usually spot on.

Still these are a great buy at this price, but I am still get the Pro 3's tomorrow. 🙂

Would like some clarification on Applecare for these.
When I went to Apple store, I was told by the store manager that for accessories such as headphones, pencil etc. they do not sell AppleCare separately. When these accessories are paired with an iPhone, iPad etc, they get the AppleCare protection if those iDevices already have AppleCare.

But clearly Costco and other retailers ask if we want to add Applecare while purchasing these accessories.

Was the manager incorrect OR does the iDevice Applecare extend to accessories paired with it?

Thank you for any feedback / clarification.

there's a new product called AppleCare One that covers all devices. Maybe that's the only thing available now?

Pencil is covered under device applecare. Wired headphones as well. AirPods have their own AppleCare.

This is have I've seen in reviews too. I'm coming from Pro 1. I hear that Pro 2 is 5x better ANC and 3's are about 2x better than the 2's. The rest of the updates aren't worth it for me, so I'm going to go with 2's $100 less. (Plus AppleCare)

On top of every tech outlet/reviewers insanely positive coverage of the Pro 3s like others have mentioned, the ear tips from the Pro 3s do NOT fit the Pro 2s. MKBHD among a few reviewers explicitly mentioned this.
The Pro 2 and Pro 3 are NOT swappable with their respective cases, either, just to cover that while I'm at it.
Edit: added pics

Where are you getting "most reviewers" from? Most reviewers are actually giving the Pro 3s glowing reviews. Every review I've seen says they're better in every way.
It's good but is it worth the price difference with apple care included?

Crazy deal! Buy NOW. Reviews on the Pro 3 are looking mediocre.
APP3 better in every single way; comfort, isolation, battery life, water resistance, + bonus of heart rate tracking. I have not seen a single bad review thus far.

Don't need these. Don't need these. Don't need these.
I have a pair already, love them. Trying to rationalize that a 2nd pair is useful. Haha

Yep, the 3rd gen appear to be huge improvement in ANC that theyre a real option for long flights. Couple months ago Id go for for these at $150. Now, rather wait for version 3 at $199

I did the exact same thing. Had just bought them for my wife, for her birthday. Looking forward to getting that $50 back.
Thank you for saying "my wife."
