The Pro 2 and Pro 3 are NOT swappable with their respective cases, either, just to cover that while I'm at it.

You can buy the tips that come with the 3's and add them to this.
Still these are a great buy at this price, but I am still get the Pro 3's tomorrow. 🙂
When I went to Apple store, I was told by the store manager that for accessories such as headphones, pencil etc. they do not sell AppleCare separately. When these accessories are paired with an iPhone, iPad etc, they get the AppleCare protection if those iDevices already have AppleCare.
But clearly Costco and other retailers ask if we want to add Applecare while purchasing these accessories.
Was the manager incorrect OR does the iDevice Applecare extend to accessories paired with it?
Thank you for any feedback / clarification.

Scroll down, there's individual coverages available and also AppleCare One for $19.99/mo
Most reviewers seem to suggest these are better than the 3's too. You can buy the tips that come with the 3's and add them to this.
Where are you getting "most reviewers" from? Most reviewers are actually giving the Pro 3s glowing reviews. Every review I've seen says they're better in every way.

I have a pair already, love them. Trying to rationalize that a 2nd pair is useful. Haha
