9800x3D completely wasted on this build. Good if you plan to someday buy a 5080 super. But then this PSU is way underpowered. So if you ever plan to upgrade to a more powerful GPU you'll need to factor in a more powerful PSU.

I also cant see spending this kind of money on something with a $550 GPU.

iBuypower lies to and purposefully defrauds their customers. Never forget! Even buying through Costco, I do not feel comfortable supporting a company with such a shady history. They don't deserve your business anyways.

How about this instead with a $25 off coupon? Basically the same price: https://andromedainsights.com/pro...070xt-16gbDeal posted here: https://slickdeals.net/f/18615223-andromeda-insights-elite-amd-vector-ryzen-7-9800x3d-rx-9070xt-16gb-1704-98
AMD GPU. IBuyPower generally has the worst specs, Cyberpower PC seems to have better components such as faster memory. For those small builders, Andromeda insights and Cost Plus gaming are good, Cost Plus gaming ends up giving you a better value and better components though (CL30 RAM + newer motherboard + slightly cheaper price usually).

Yes, AMD GPU, but isn't the performance of the the 9070xt actually BETTER than a 5070? From what I've seen it's actually on par or slightly above a 5070ti

It seems at least a few games may not run that great on AMD GPU's, not sure if it's exclusive to just certain older games. For example, I read a lot of people having problems with Halo MCC and regretting the AMD GPU. Nvidia has no problems with the game though.

Oh really? Maybe driver bugs? I haven't seen much talk of any problems in newer games. Haven't really looked a ton though. The side by side specs for me just seem like a better deal:
IBUYPOWER:
  • AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D (8-core, 4.7 GHz) Processor
  • NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 12GB Graphics
  • 32GB (2 x 16GB) DDR5 5200MHz RAM

  • Wi-Fi 6 (2x2/160) Gig+ and Bluetooth 5.3
  • 10/100/1000 Ethernet LAN
  • 360mm liquid CPU cooling system
  • 750W Power Supply
  • CHIMERA KM7 RGB Wired Keyboard and Mouse Combo
  • Dimensions: 20" L x 9.1" W x 17.4" H
  • Approximate Weight: 36 lbs
  • Microsoft Windows 11 Home (64-bit)
Andromeda Insights:
  • Ryzen 7 9800X3D
  • AMD RX 9070XT 16GB
  • 32GB Dual Channel DDR5 6000 MT/s RAM
  • 1TB NVMe SSD Gen 4.0
  • B650 Motherboard /w Wi-Fi + Bluetooth
  • 360MM ARGB Liquid Cooling AIO
  • 850W Gold ATX 3.1 Power Supply
  • 1TB NVMe SSD Gen 4.0
  • Lian Li Vector V100 Case(Black)
  • (4) ARGB Fans
  • Windows 11 Home
Am I missing something? The only thing IBUYPOWER seems to have going for it is 1TB bigger SSD, mouse and keyboard included, and that it's sold by Costco (easier to return).

That's a way better build for the money. Actual breathing room with that 850w PSU and it has a whole tier higher GPU. Faster RAM. Better case FWIW, too. An extra SSD when needed is no big deal. I'd definitely go for that one

I think if you're fine with AMD it's a good build. I imagine 99% of the games are fine. If you're going to go with a smaller builder you'll get better ram (CL30, Andromeda is CL38) with the same specs at a similar or less price with Cost Plus Gaming. I would just compare Andromeda insights and CPG and see which one is cheaper and go with that. I believe they both are known for notoriously long build times up to a month in some cases (so 2-4 week wait possibly).
