It does have HDMI ARC. For $63, I'm going to give it a shot. There were a couple of negative reviews that said the satellite speakers don't get loud enough. Most of the reviews were incentivized but even those that weren't were generally pretty good.
Is ARC much inferior than eARC?
- eARC can transmit uncompressed audio formats like Dolby TrueHD, DTS-HD Master Audio, and object-based formats like Dolby Atmos and DTS:X, where ARC is limited to lower fidelity compressed formats like Dolby Digital and DTS
- eARC uses HDMI 2.1 which is capable of higher bandwidth, where ARC operates on HDMI 1.4, limiting the audio transmission.
- eARC supports better lip-sync correction and automatic device recognition
- eARC is better at sending audio to external sound systems
For eARC, though, obviously both your TV and sound system must support HDMI 2.1 and eARC explicitly.Sign up for a Slickdeals account to remove this ad.

Surround speakers are supposed to be pointing towards the ears and not towards the front. They should seat on the same plane of the ears and not behind. Many people got it wrong and maybe that is why they could not hear the surround.
