Home Depot has the newest model Rigid Oscillating Edge/Belt Spindle Sander marked down for an in store clearance deal of $64.50. You'll probably need to update the location of the store to your local store, and then you can check your local stores by hitting the "Check Nearby Stores" link on the page.

Internet # 315674228
Model # R4840
Store SKU # 1006060393

I asked Google AI to compare the old model to this new model, since the old model sells for twice as much, and I got the following:

The RIDGID R4840 offers a more powerful motor, improved dust collection, and a stronger metal frame compared to the older EB4424 model. While the R4840 replaced the EB4424 and has a superior design, the EB4424 had a Lifetime Service Agreement warranty, whereas the R4840 comes with a standard 5-year warranty.

From the Rigid Website:

Features include:
Quick release belt tensioning and adjusting for tool-free changeovers.
5 sizes of spindles and spacers for excellent dust collection.
Adjustable table for angle sanding.
1.5 inch dust port for connection to wet/dry vac or dust collector.
Tubular frame with rubber feet and lockdown holes for low vibration.
Spindle speed1,725 RPM spindle speed.
Belt speed1,350 FPM belt speed.
Spindle sizes1/2, 3/4,1, 1.5, 2 inch spindles and sandpaper included.
Belt size4 x 24 inch belt.
Weight48 lbs.

Thanks for adding your research results. That aids in decision-making whether to purchase this or not. I've never purchased any of their tools without lifetime warranty. Maybe a shopvac, but that's it.

I was lucky enough to find one of these at my local store at this price today. Looking forward to unboxing and setting up this beast!

My store had them at this price a few months ago, but then they went down to about $80, and then down to $65.00 today.

Pretty sure only their TTI-made tools come with the LSA. I believe this and some other stationary woodworking tools are made by Delta, while their wet/dry vacuums and plumbing tools are made by their actual parent company, Emerson.

Be sure to change to your state and search the internet number, 315674228. The store's webpage will have "in store clearance" below the pice.

That's a killer clearance price, $64.50 for this sander is crazy considering the old EB4424 still goes for 2x+ . Definitely worth checking local stock!

I prefer to not get specific. Let's just say West Coast. It was also the last one new in the box. My store also has an open item on display that appears to be missing all of the accessories.
