Got a pair of these few weeks back. They are hard and narrow, really hurt my feet. About what I expected for 6 bucks and change.

I got these. They were fine, but if you leave them outside in the heat, the plastic material compresses the material so it shrinks. So get 1 or 2 sizes up if you plan to have outside in direct sunlight.

A couple of the reviews mention how soft they are, you sure it's the same ones?

Yep. I ordered them thinking they would be soft too but they are quite hard to me.

I have similar ones from UA that were supposed to be for pool side, but I walked in them miles as I do. They scratched the top sk8n of my feet with constantly rubbing against the plastic. Since then the wound appeared with red unskinned red exposed. For some reason it took months before it healed. Tha5 was my misunderstanding of these that they were for walking. The exposed wound at that location surprised me because it took months to heal and still irritate if rubbed again. I won't be buying these

These should be hard and suitable for shower/poolside.
