These should be used for nothing more than slip on shoes to walk around the house or out to the mailbox. That's it. They are not comfortable shoes for long periods of time.

Same here. The slip on aspect is nice also.
Toss them in the washing machine with maybe just a towel to help with agitation and some oxiclean. Even better is to soak them outside in a container with oxiclean in the sun for a few hours, then run in a rinse only cycle in the washer, I do it all the time. Almost like new again.

The place/loops where the shoe strings thread through snapped the first day I bought these, a year or 2 ago -- just before I was about to put them on. Never again with designs like these.
