Arguably, many of the cheap cables I've purchased haven't been worth the price. I may have saved money by not having to replace them. But even if they did end up cheaper after replacements, there is still the argument for the amount of frustration and time wasted that comes from dealing with defective products.
What does more robust mean in relation to cords lol
I've had a LOT of USB cables go bad over the years. And it seems that the cheap cables from no-name brands are much quicker to become defective. Cables often take more abuse than you realize. Either by being crushed, bent at a sharp angle, or by putting pressure on the connector while the cable is plugged in.
Arguably, many of the cheap cables I've purchased haven't been worth the price. I may have saved money by not having to replace them. But even if they did end up cheaper after replacements, there is still the argument for the amount of frustration and time wasted that comes from dealing with defective products.

Totally agree with you on the cheap cables. They just don't hold up! Do you have any brands or specific models of cables you'd recommend? I'm looking for something durable that's worth the extra investment.
