I'm holding out for the model that can hit 75 mph. It's gotta hit free way speeds to be considered a true commuter. Haha

Can you imagine? Sadly I'm sure some Bozo has already done so or planning to...you ever see that clip of someone riding a Citibike on the Bronx Expressway?

Apparently John Hopkins hospitals had to introduce a new code for scooter accidents, cause they've been on the rise...

60mph on this is pretty crazy, especially since no regulation exists to mandate the use of a helmet when riding
insinuating there needs to be a mandate for every little thing... modern americans lol

I thought OP had an extra zero in the wattage ratings... But nope. Apparently they sell scooters with 5000w motors or even 2x 5000w motors. That could be up to 15 horsepower! Crazy.

I'll chip in to see someone ride this thing too! 😜

I'll chip in and buy the cape for the maniac who rides it. I have a scooter that can go 42mph, but it's well-built and I've only taken it mid-30s on a safe road. that's with 2x 1000W motors, so I don't know that these specs make any sense. 128lb makes it not practical to lift, and I would imagine the suspension is going to get you airborne when you hit a bump at that speed. 60mph makes it impossible to react to bumps in time, so you're on a ticking clock before you go all Evel Knevel, hence the legal requirement for a cape.

If everyone pitches in I'll take this monster out for some top speed runs. I got the protective gear for it lol

If it meant not having to see that (overly) amount of excessive LED's and tacky trim, death would probably be worth it.
One benefit for the garish lights is at least drivers of cars are more likely to see you before you hit something at 60 MPH and become one with whatever you hit.

lets do ohms law : 72 volts @ 5000 watts = 69.4 amps - you can melt steel at 50 amps
I wonder how thick the wiring is going to the motor ? (I have to say "thickness of the wire" cause most of you are too stupid to understand wire gauge)
10 gauge wire is the max thickness for 30 amps , I wonder if it pulls 69 amps if they use 2/0 welding cable ?

Agreed, 69 amps is heavy current. And that's for just one motor at full throttle. Since it has 2 motors each theoretically pulling 69amps, that means the wires leaving the battery would need to handle almost 140amps at peak draw, at least momentarily.

Then think about his. If you can do sustained peak draw, say full throttle up a long hill, you would empty the battery in about 20 minutes, unless it explodes first, or any other part the the electronics go pyrotechnic.

72v*50ah= 3600watt hrs. 3600wh/10,000 watts = 0.36 hours =~ 21 minutes of runtime OR = 🔥

I have a scooter that goes 40 mph. You MUST have the correct techniques to ride this as when you pick up speed, the risk of injury is extremely real. Do not get this without the correct helmet.

A full-face SHOEI, Kevlar padded jacket, & full set of leathers might save you, but no guarantee. Just like on a motorcycle, but even less safe, since you'd be even closer to invisible.
