Perfect Steam box. This is more powerful than the Steamdeck btw, get a BT controller, plug this into the TV, and you got awesome console experience for around 300 bucksm

I bought this yesterday. Arrived today. Tried to do clean win install with Ventoy and 11pro 25H2. A few Realtek and AMD driver issues but worked out all but one unknown device (ven_1022&dev_15e2). Still working on that one, but likely will get it sorted. Does run a little hot, but no major issues yet. It is snappy and only $150 more than the prior deal on an N150 for an R9. I guess I'm willing to take the gamble. Will update if I have any throttling or thermal shutdowns in my testing.

All the 5 star reviews have to be bots/boughten. No one who isn't being paid, review's like that. I'ma have to skip this one

You're right. They are clearly worded by an AI. I would suggest someone find a YouTube review of this PC or at least of another PC from this brand before buying.

I guess I'll pass, no way to hook up an external GPU with OCuLink, maybe if they also had an available NVMe slot to rig this up and then get this put in another 3D printed enclosure to battle with the heat issues then it'll be worth a shot.

I bought a different model (E3B) from this company about a month ago. It's been working fine for me since. Happy to answer any questions.

Kamrui is known to offer stuff to people for free in exchange for a highly-detailed five star review. They're not worded by AI, but they are overly descriptive compared to what a typical person would say, because they want to get reimbursed for the item and that's what it takes.

I've had a Kamrui mini PC. Spec-wise it's great for the price. . . but it only lasted about a year before I wasn't getting so much as a boot into BIOS, and no beep codes.

Just curious... has anyone who owns this model with the 6900HX ever tried running it on a TV at 4k 120Hz with full RGB\4:4:4 (not having to use chroma sub sampling, like 4:2:2) over HDMI? The specs on almost all similar mini PCs explicitly advertise "4k 60Hz" over and over, despite the fact that the hardware seemingly should be able to go higher.

I spoke with a seller on Aliexpress a while back about this and he said that these high end 6000 series chips that are put into cheap mini PCs are all engineering samples and have 4k 120Hz support disabled for whatever reason, even though the Radeon 680M should be able to do it easily via HDMI 2.1.
Before anyone asks: I'm not talking about playing modern games at that res, I'm talking about whether the system will actually successfully output that resolution at 120Hz on the desktop.

I'm inclined to believe them. These mini PC companies are more likely to embellish specs, so they would probably not under-sell the maximum resolution unless it was genuinely incapable of doing it. It used to be that you just had to be sure it had HDMI 2.1 ports rather than 2.0, but when the standard was renamed a few years ago it means that "HDMI 2.1" no longer means anything.
