There are pros and cons to solid and stranded wire.

Saying one is not as good as the other without any context of application is incorrect.

That's NM wire, not rated for direct burial.

Thanks, I won't need this for a while but good to jump on this great price. It's normally twice this at the big box stores.

As someone who just finished wiring a 800 sqft garage from start to finish. I found the best place to buy wire weirdly enough was eBay. People are always selling excess wire they don't want or need. I picked up about 600ft of 12/2 MC cable for $300. Like seriously cheaper wire prices than anywhere else online if you keep your eye out. Same with Facebook marketplace.

This is stranded cable not solid. It's not as good as the solid. Just pointing that out in case people didn't see.

Whats preventing anyone from driving a shovel and getting electrocuted when they think they are planting a tree?

Regardless direct burial type, you still need to check your city/county regulation of installing outdoor wire. You need to trench at least 24" for direct burial. ANY wire buried in less than 24" depth requires conduit, including direct burial wire.
