  • The CHP-170 is a medium size general use cutter. This is an excellent tool for electronics work. It can be used to cut small and medium size wires and component leads.
  • Flush-cut micro soft-wire cutter has 8mm long jaw with angled head for flush-cutting applications on up to 16 gauge (1.3mm) copper and soft wire
  • 21-degree reverse angled cutting surface enables terminal wires to be cut, leaving a 1.5mm stand-off
  • 2.5mm heat-treated carbon steel construction provides durability and long life
  • Precision-ground holes and surfaces provide smooth movement, and spring returns tool to open position to reduce operator fatigue

If you don't need a nicer brand they do sell a, I assume, lower quality version at The Dollar (.75) Tree. Great for 3D printing clean up, cutting zip ties, etc. AliExpress has them too.

These are my go to clippers for rubber coated wire and zip ties. I also use them for metal earth models I make on occasion. Very good quality imho.

Most of the stuff from scamazon is taking multiple weeks to get anymore. About one in four orders arrives within a week. The longest was around four months.

It's like a mail-order catalog -- "you'll get it within 6-8 weeks". It's so bad that I need to keep a backup payment method on file just in case they charge a card that has expired.

And with Home Depot, you have practically zero risk of getting a counterfeit. And super easy returns, since you can return it to any Home Depot location. Amazon loves to force returns to their "UPS stores" which are far and few between, or their beloved "Kolds stores" (which are over an hour away for some people in an entirely different part of the state).

Once I ordered a Wüsthof Classic tomato knife (MSRP $115), saw the delay but I didn't cancel because I got a good price on it (in retrospect that should've been red flag #1). They couldn't fulfill so they "substituted" by sending me some bullshit from the Gourmet with an MSRP that was what I paid (I'm guessing they do this to avoid being punished by Amazon, since they technically provided me a product with the same dollar value, but obviously the opposite in terms of quality compared to what I ordered. The best part is there was no indication through my Amazon account; I literally found out by getting the wrong knife a month and a half later & it had been so long I had to do a sanity check since I'd never buy a knife that wasn't full-tang. Tons of sellers pulling this bait & switch shit seem to be banking on people either not wanting to return it after waiting 6 weeks or straight up forgetting what they ordered lol. If it hadn't been fulfilled by Amazon I would've cancelled—it's getting bad out here.
