My main gripe would be weight, half a pound seems on the heavy-side to strap to your head. If you're hiking your gear in, I'd consider something lighter. I just grabbed the Nitecore NU20 recently for backpacking and I like it. Not going to be nearly as bright as this, but plenty bright for what I need it for and weighs less than 2 oz (functionally weightless).
I have been using the costco duracell head lamps with eneloop batteries for 6+ years and they work well.
Yes, it's good for fishing or camping (they even show it for that specific use in the marketing video material). Coast is actually a pretty popular brand in the headlamp space and *up to 2000 lumen is really bright compared to most headlamps. Being rechargeable is definitely a big plus! I would personally avoid ones that just run on standard batteries, as you end up wasting more money on batteries in the long run. Ive tried other cheaper brands that stores like Costco carry, and they always end up being trash, especially all the Energizer/Duracell type ones. I would pick something up like this instead in a heartbeat.
good thing about the battery ones is that you can use re-chargeable batteries and you can carry extra set(s) of batteries.
