from a hygiene perspective: this is way better than the foam/rubber they're more commonly made out of, as cork is naturally anti-microbial, especially if this were to be used in a shared studio space. less flexible/comfortable, I guess, but good to have options.

You would infact be able to make 5 and they'd be smaller than this and a Frankenstein mass of smaller pieces. Not to mention they would not be cork

Given that this is actual cork anyone have a use for this that's not yoga? I was thinking of cutting it up and using it for shims

You can slice these down the center and make your own Birkenstock, and call em Brickenstock, I hear they conform to your feet over time.
