Just got back from Costco too.. They didn't tell me anything. Is $100 automatic?
The rep that helped me scanned my Costco card and told me that it'll be automatically emailed to my Costco account after 90days of the order (in case of returns).
You have to sign up for the promo to get the $100 Costco gift card. Rep may have done that for you but should have given you a tracking number. (This is as of last time I did it which was a while ago. I doubt that part of the process has changed.)

So which is it? Do you get $800 back with one-time trade-in, or as 24 monthly bill credits? Doesn't read clearly at all to me. So I buy a $1000 phone and trade-in the $800 old phone. Am I stuck paying off the $1000 over 24 months, with a discount from the $800 / 24 back? Or am I paying off $200 over 24 months after $800 initial trade-in discount? If the later, if I'm fine with paying off the remaining $200 all at once, can't we cancel after two months for the unlock code?

EDIT: I think then the answer I was looking for is - both. Just went through setup for buying a P10 pro xl. After entering details I see my trade-in is really only $90 discount right away (well, once trade-in is received and evaluated). The other is all given over 24 months. Strange though, it says the discount is the full $909.99 over 24 months (999.99 with 90 trade-in credit.) Not just $800. Is that right, for a new account and transferred line? Was thinking it'd only be $800.

I got $175 for s23+ as automatic credit when I turn my trade in at the store. So, my next month bill is -$5. The 24month credit is still $800

The only thing phone companies do is hold your number hostage then? Why not just cancel your account then sign back up and not trade in anything?
I guess you could do that. The only thing is for some legacy plan, if you cancel it, you won't be able to get same rate by signing up again.

It has changed. You give the kiosk rep your Costco number when making the order, and after 90 days they email you the gift card.

I currently have a Pixel 9 from this same deal a year ago. If I buy an S10 to trade in for this deal, will I retain the current monthly credits for the Pixel 9 alongside the 10?

Stopped by the T-Mobile store at Costco and picked up the Pro XL for $999. Got $800 for my trade-in, no activation fee, and a $100 Costco gift card.
How does the trade-in work? Do they send you an envelope and you send in your old phone at a later time?

Whatever Google's flavor of Android is. I think it's called PixelOS. It's one of the worst.
