So which is it? Do you get $800 back with one-time trade-in, or as 24 monthly bill credits? Doesn't read clearly at all to me. So I buy a $1000 phone and trade-in the $800 old phone. Am I stuck paying off the $1000 over 24 months, with a discount from the $800 / 24 back? Or am I paying off $200 over 24 months after $800 initial trade-in discount? If the later, if I'm fine with paying off the remaining $200 all at once, can't we cancel after two months for the unlock code?
EDIT: I think then the answer I was looking for is - both. Just went through setup for buying a P10 pro xl. After entering details I see my trade-in is really only $90 discount right away (well, once trade-in is received and evaluated). The other is all given over 24 months. Strange though, it says the discount is the full $909.99 over 24 months (999.99 with 90 trade-in credit.) Not just $800. Is that right, for a new account and transferred line? Was thinking it'd only be $800.
So roughly for the new phone, you are paying 1000/24 - 750/24 monthly.
Going to cancel though, my use case requires a dual sim setup main line tmobile second (esim) ATT.
With this offer the trade in is processed as statement credits, meaning the phone will remain locked for 24 months.
Not sure about other carriers but tmobile network lock applies to both sims, even if one sim is being used by tmobile. Bummer.
YMMV, but I ordered a Pixel 10 with the other trade in deal for T-Mobile and received it last week. It had a really inconsistent scrolling feel and would lag when scrolling on most apps. I have never experienced that before on a modern phone and it was extremely frustrating to use. A search on Google will return results of other people dealing with similar issues on the Pixel 10. It seems to vary in severity from device to device though. Mine was pretty bad. Also, it had poor wifi connectivity when compared side by side to a Pixel 7. I ended up returning it and will be just sticking with my Pixel 7 for the time being. Between the iPhone 17 and any Pixel 10 model I would go with the iPhone based on my experience.
1) iPhone in terms of the processor power is definitely better. The Pixels chip is still far behind their competitors.2) Also btw did you change your screens refresh rate to 120hz? I got a pixel 10 coming from a galaxy s23, and I was frustrated for the a week and a half with how choppy it was compared to a 3 yr old phone then I saw 120hz wasn't enabled out the box. it feels much better now

I'm sorry to hear about your Pixel purchase. Keep in mind that Google is fundamentally a data company, whereas Apple is not. If a company derives 90% of its revenue from selling data, it's safe to assume they collect and monetize user information to its max legal possibility. Anyone with even basic knowledge of system administration or traffic analysis can observe the volume of data Google sends back to its servers. Apple, by contrast, does not do this. It's straightforward to verify for yourself.
Go check out a subreddit today on visible where a person asked for the data they are tracking/keeping, lol you should see the 50+ items they track and resell on you.

I have the old ONE plan with T-Mobile with 7 lines. Two lines use Pixel 7 Pro and Pixel 9. If I understand the deal, I can trade in both of these Pixel devices and get two Pixel 10 Pro XLs for $200 each along with $800 in monthly credits over 24 months from T-Mobile for each of the two phones. And Costco will throw in $100 gift card for each of the two phones traded in. No changes to the plan or additional charges or any other changes, right? Yes, taxes and death are forever!
Is there a limit on number of trade-in's? i.e. can I trade in all the seven phones for the seven lines I have assuming the devices qualify and Costco will throw in seven $100 gift cards and TMo will offer seven Pixel 10 Pro XLs for $200 each? Am I missing anything? Anything else to consider about this deal before doing this? And yes, Costco gift card is mailed 90 days after they receive my old phone and have verified/processed the trade.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong: Costco limits 1 shop card rebate per line per year for the upgrade gift card.
I already traded in my Pixel 7 for a 9 in the 2024 promotion. Contemplating buying a used phone to trade in and get the P10XL.
