It's definitely an offer(s) in the app unless regional ymmv.
If it is just on the app, that should be mentioned in the subject line or initial post.
It should be (even though it is not) mentioned within the Deal Details.
This is regional, not offered in the app in my area.
In fact, there are only 3 "deals" in the app now, two months ago there were a dozen.
Wendy's has started highlighting a few deals on the main page … you usually need to click "view all" at the top to see more offers. Or click on the "offers" tab to go directly to the full list.
Wendy's in my area usually will be out of something crucial to my order. Ordering ahead in the app is usually a bad idea since getting a refund is a joke in fast food restaurants since the invention of technology.

Yeah, there's only 3 offers right now in my app. Used to be a lot more, now just 3 and they aren't very good. $2 off a breakfast combo, $1 drink with $5 purchase, and $4 off $20.

They've also reduced their value menu.
Wendy's has been reducing deals and their value priced options significantly over the last 90 days, fyi.
I may start burning all my rewards points and remove the app, if it gets any worse.
I've been doing exactly that before they discontinue points or something.
Buying one item with points per order to burn through my 5000 points. Only 1 item per order and there are limited options to use points on.

There was one article I came across that looked at finding the best reward for points; it was between Burger King and McDonald's. I applied the same model to Wendy's and found that the salads are the best, followed by the 250 point rewards, followed by the 350 point rewards. Think of the rewards as $ and think of the reward item with its price as a percentage of it.
Weirdly enough, if I always bought salads, I would feel bad that I would run through my points too fast. If I kept getting the 250 rewards, I would be able to enjoy the ride longer.
Love their chili. Be sure to ask for the spicy sauce packet which compliments the chili. Back in the dollar menu days a $1 chili and $1 baked potato was my go to. I'd pour the chili over the potato. Very filling and cheap at the time. Don't forget to ask for sour cream and butter condiments as well with the potato, should still be free.
