i pretty much have usb C - C cables so i usually bring a couple of these when i travel to connect to plane/hotel USB A ports.

If just for charging the USB 2.0 from the OP have a higher wattage/amp limit.

I use these to turn my USB A based charging hub ports to charge USB C device. Extends their usage and fast charging not overly important for me in that use case.

I personally prefer something like these mixed packs (but the 4 pack would be great to convert a bunch of USB C to USB C cables), I keep a few plugged into my travel 'dock' so they are always with me and easy to find. Also allows the USB C dock to be easily plugged into a desktop with USB A ports.

Note: I am not recommended this exact brand, just using as an example:
