I buy all of my running shoes on sale and I wish I bought more of the Saucony. It is light weight and perfect amount of cushion. I would not be buying adidas for running.

They're not a max-cush shoe by today's standards - which seems to be the complaint here? But they're still a mid/high stack well-cushioned shoe, well built for all-purpose running: they measure at 34.9mm stack in the heel and 28.4mm forefoot - making these a well-cushioned shoe.
The "Lightsrike" foam from Adidas is good stuff; it's well reviewed and durable, just a bit less bounce than higher-end shoes. (That seems to be the defining difference of ~$100 vs $200+ running shoes.)
Comparisons - these feel a lot like my Saucony Axom 3. A well cushioned all-purpose runner at a reasonable price. I also run the Asics Suberblast 2 - a max-cushion high-bounce shoe that definitely feels cushier, but at 6x the price of these Adidas.

RunRepeat hasn't reviewed the Speed 2 yet, but they reviewed the previous version here, and the Speed 2 fixes their few small notes. (Basically the Speed 2 adds more cushion and make the shoe equally suited for heel strikers and mid foot strike, whereas the original Duramo Speed was better for mid foot strikers.). https://runrepeat.com/adidas-duramo-speed
