Redditers have received offer for another free BYOD line ID250385. Check your emails and T-Life to see if you qualify.

YMMV. If you qualify, you can add it without changing your plan. This is BYOD only; financing a phone is not recommended and you may lose your free line promotion.

I just activated the free line on my T-Mobile One plan. Can I cancel one of my lines that I pay $15/month for and transfer the number to this free line either now or after a year?

Hey I saw your comment about paying less per month. How does this work out?
When most plans change from the 2-8 lines SOC to 9-12 SOC, each free line in lines 1 - 9 is now worth extra -$10. It's the way the billing system is coded. So in the best case scenario of 2 paid lines and 7 free lines, your bill is cost of 9 lines - 7 free line credits - $70 bonus credits.

Can you replace a paid line with a free line?

Yes, after waiting 1 year from your last free line, port out a paid line (cancel). Once the temp carrier has full possession of the number, port back in over your free line. Now you free line has your old paid line number.

Rep promised me 3 free lines and said my bill would stay the same (~$166 for 6 lines + home internet with Insider/AutoPay). After adding them, my September bill jumped to $271.50, partly from mid-cycle plan changes and a new Pixel 10 Pro installment ($12.50/mo). Bill now says my "next month charges" will be $215 incl. AutoPay, which is still higher than before.
I've read that at 9+ lines, free-line credits should be $40 (not $30), so shouldn't the bill be closer to what I was paying? Also—does financing a phone mess with the free-line promo if it's supposed to be BYOD only? Anyone with 9+ lines seen this?

Got a free line and when I went into the details of the new line, i see that a $15 6gb of data is added on. I am on an old Simple Choice plan. Anyone in the same boat. $15 for monthly data is no longer a free line to me since my other lines on the account don't cost much more than that.

I just remembered that I went through the same issue on my first free line maybe 2-3 years ago. I was able to talk to tmobile and they made that free line get data like the rest of my other lines. I will check with tmobile and get back to you guys!

UPDATE - Chat rep took it off and should be reflected in my first bill with the free line. The tmobile website shows that the free line has unlimited data!

They texted me this promo. I called in, was thanked for being part of T-mobile for so long, confirmed the promo was on my account -- then they announced that psyche, it was discontinued no so maybe I wanted to pay them for an extra line?
I'd consider this a scam, personally.

Update: I've received my latest bill and the free line promotion was not applied. Long story short the free line segment was not on my account that the phone rep assured me was in fact there. Upon reaching out for a resolution, I was informed that the representative put notations on my account that I enquired about the free line, was told that I did not have the promo, but wanted to add a line anyway. What a total scam.

What is the soc for the free line that allows you to have free unlimited data? We're unable to get free unlimited data even though our other lines have free unlimited data, the best one a rep has found for us is free 30mb high speed and 2g data afterward data add on.

The One All In plan never qualifies for free lines after the initial one afaik. You might want to verify if that is the case.
I have verified that my account qualifies for it. Under my current promotions it shows: Line Discount ID250385. I also have chat records stating that my TMO ONE all in plan qualifies for it. "Yes, you are eligible to receive the free line. Would you like to activate it now?"

That's a line discount soc instead that makes your voice lines free if I'm not mistaken since it's similar to the other line discounts listed at https://soc.quest
The free data soc would be something else
