As I said in a reddit post on this, people will say that it's not the OLED or they'll say it's not enough storage space, but they'll look right past the value they get for $319.20. If you look at what it can't do, AAA games at 60FPS, games that require Windows anti-cheat, then you'll be disappointed. But if you look at what it can do and how easy it is to use, it's a big win for the price. It's just a tremendous value.

Went from a Rog Ally to a steam deck (OLED) this spring and really love it. The touchpads helps so much imo. Just finished the OpenGoal versions of Jak & Daxter and Jak 2... now in Wolfenstein: The New Order.

I have (and love) my OLED but $320 is a steal for the LCD. If I didn't already have a Deck, I would not hesitate to get an LCD at this price.

For the most part, only a few super competitive games with proprietary "anti cheat" are not configured / supported for the Steam Deck however aren't likely to have fun playing against people using M&K regardless. A vast majority of online games with more normal anti cheat system work just fine though.

And and I agree, for $320 this is a no brainer handheld for many people's use case. The OLED is mo better though

I bought an oled refurbished steam deck with 512 gb of storage for $430 and been really happy with this thing. One concern on the lcd steam deck is the battery so keep that in mind (battery is bigger on the oled). But otherwise it's such a great device for so cheap. You can run pretty much anything on it, but sometimes u need the right drivers (so look up a tutorial on youtube if a game isn't launching, it's likely a 5 min fix max). There is an amazing plugin you can get on Decky that allows you to put community premade art on games based on the exe name. So I've been running the deapool game and wolverine origins on it, as if they were bought on steam. Also there is a ton of emulation stuff you can do up to switch, ps3, and xbox 360.

But besides even recent games run decent since it's a 720p screen, the performance is about equivalent to a rog ally x since it has a 1080p screen (which is a downside for the ally, since you can't tell much of a difference, but it tanks the performance.) But the recent UE 5 games are tough since many devs don't optimize games, though it ran wukong on minimal settings for me.

Same here, got the same one and have been loving it. However 512 filled up pretty quick, but I did the 1TB swap which was pretty easy.

One thing I don't like is the battery drain in standby, so I tend to fully shut it down. But it's nice to have the option to resume a game in in the middle of.
