Depending on your needs they are great. There isn't really any competition on the Android side when you factor in software and security updates.

While this is GOOD... the one issue is that this is NOT OLED. Just keep that in mind.

Oneplus, google, ZTE all make amazing tablets with decent amount of security. If you are referring to only 13.1" tablets... you are correct, I believe Samsung is the only one that makes a 13.1" size. Just like ZTE is the only one to make a 9.06" tablet size. So if you are set in getting a 13.1" or a 9.06" tablet you don't have to think too much.
To me... the ideal tablet is one with a OLED screen, None to almost no bloatware, at least 5 years of google updates, fast CPU, decent storage... (I don't need a micro SD card or Sim slot). Samsung will always fail with "none to almost no bloatware".
I did purchase ZTE's Redmagic Astra Gaming Tablet and to me that is probably as close as it gets to the perfect tablet... 9.06" as of today.
I once had the Tab S8+ and felt that was too big... sold it and purchased the Tab S9... still felt it was a little too big, I gave it to my kid and got my ZTE Redmagic Astra. I also own a Duet 5 (13.3" screen BUT IT IS OLED) and it fell from my bed and the screen cracked... the problem really was I could not find proper drop proof case.

Zte does not provide good software support in the US, only two years. OnePlus is only 3 years of Android os updates. Google isn't making new tablets but the current one is expected to get it's last update next year.

First of all you are giving ALOT OF FALSE INFORMATION.
The pixel tablet is expected to get it's last OS update next year BUT WILL GET SECURITY UPDATED UNTIL JUNE 2028
The OnePlus Pad 3 will come with 3 Android OS updates and 6 years of bi-monthly security updates.
Now for ZTE (specifically RedMagic Astra Gaming Tablet)... which has promised 5 years of security updates by European law and 3 years for other regions of the world. BUT it is the identical tablet so why are we limited to 3 years when they will provide 5 years. When you get your tablet you can tell it you are in europe and then use a VPN in 3 years from now, I don't see why you would not get the updates. I am also pretty sure someone in reddit will figure how to install them... it is not like they don't exist.

I will add... I know of many people that have gotten hacked, usually from opening up an attachment in a email/txt or their credit card got copied or some random company that had their info got hacked. I DON'T KNOW ANYONE that has got compromised because their device stopped giving security updates. Samsung in the past has skipped certain updates... again, I have never heard of a Samsung phone getting hacked because it stopped getting or never received security updates. Also, you can use browsers that will continually update to protect you even if you do not have security updates for your OS.
I believe you have a bigger chance of being hacked by someone who hacks a company which has your info. Like if Tmobile gets hacked... now your info is out their on the dark web.

I didn't post any false information. Everything I mentioned was for software updates which most people do care about. Zte support told a user the astra would only get two software updates in the US - https://www.reddit.com/r/RedMagic/s/FblIjPPSeQ
Given their terrible track record of support in the past there is no reason to think they will provide more as they don't state anything specific for the US market.
Please tell me what I said that was false?

A Google search yields conflicting answers. To be safe, I'd chat with a Samsung agent to confirm and save the conversation.

one thing to consider is that FE series usually get shitty TIV when upgrading to newer models.

Yes, you should. It's also worth mentioning that if Samsung does reject your trade in you can have your trade in device returned and return the device you purchased to Samsung.
I've had Samsung reject legitimate trade ins for a specific iPad where they said the model didn't match. A quick chat with support resolved the issue.

Agree with some of what you are saying, but the pixel tablet was out dated before its release. It's a $150 tablet at best

As you highlighted and to build upon,
People aren't going to hack your tablet, people will hack your doctor's office and get your social. Most people don't keep their social on their personal devices, so hackers are not spending an ounce of time on that. Just look at any security research site that publishes results, corporate, local government, and doctors offices are 99% of attacks

You have a better chance of Sharknado hitting you...

So prioritize features you need, if you are just watching Netflix, YouTube, or browsing, you honestly don't need to spend $300 on a tablet. You shouldn't spend more than $100

I purchased one with the exact same discounts a few weeks back. The trade in has been received by SAMSUNG and has not yet been dispositioned. That is a cause for stress.

The FE+ is amazing for daily use and heavy use for handwriting recognition. The pen works great without the need for a matte screen protector. What ever you buy will require a case, so budget another ~$70-100 for that. I bought mine (no keyboard version) for a better price on Amazon.
