Thanks for posting this OP Smilie

I think this has two m2 slots ... model number at Walmart is apparently ANV16-42-R309

Some google research turned this up

https://laptopmedia.com/guides/ho...e-options/

and I could be wrong but.. I think (or google search tells me anyways) acer nitro's normally have two m2 slots? If the video above is correct the spare empty slot will take a gen 4 ssd m2 drive and the two ram sticks are removable and you can upgrade to 32 GB of ram if you want to.

Personally I like the second m2 drive option, makes it a lot easier to store files on a different location so if you have to restore the C/Windows drive from a previous backup you don't lose all the files on the C drive since the last backup.. it's a handy spot (second hard drive) to store said windows backups as well.

First AMD laptop I've seen in this price bracket with USB4. Too bad it has a dGPU. Otherwise, not bad.

How do you know which screen this has? I can't tell in the specs other than 180hz refresh.

Walmart website says screen is WQXGA, which is 2560*1600

This is definitely WUXGA, 1920 X 1200. Look at the item description and the image that has the specs listed from Acer.

The thing I cannot find is color gamut or brightness. This model has a 100% sRGB and a 45% NTSC option. I can't find which one this is anywhere. Also I can't find how many nits the screen has.

On the press release specs here for the 2025 Nitro v 16 lineup:

Problem is that the model in this deal isn't even on Acer's website currently; there's no way to tell if this is the 45% NTSC/62.5% sRGB or the 100% sRGB panel.

If it's the 100% sRGB version this is a pretty slick deal if you aren't bothered by the plastic build of the Nitro V series.

Ryzen 5 240 contains an integrated Radeon 760m iGPU, and the system has the RTX 5050 dGPU. Pretty sure you can change the GPU modes so you can have extended battery on iGPU when not gaming.

Well, I bought one yesterday. Although, I have no idea how to tell if this is the NTSC 45% version or the sRGB 100%. Any suggestions on how to determine that?

Windows says the model number of the panel is MGN007QX2-3. I can't really find much out about this panel.

This laptop has the best specs of any gaming laptop I could find at this price. The screen looks great to my eyes (although I don't know what the color accuracy rating is). The keyboard is good. The trackpad could be better. The first one I got had a trackpad with a significant rattle when pressed. I'm returning it.

The second unit I got still has a slight rattle in the trackpad when pressing it down, but it's less pronounced. Otherwise, it's a good trackpad.

The graphics card is more powerful than the RTX 3060 in my desktop, but with 8 GB of VRAM vs the 12 GB in my 3060. It seems that it is upgradeable to 64 GB of RAM even though the specs sheet says 32 GB is the max.

I think its a solid machine. If this is the top of your budget, you won't find better bang for your buck brand new. I opted to get the 4 year warranty from Walmart which also includes accidental damage coverage for only $92.

If you haven't already made a purchase, this deal just popped up. It's a better CPU and a better integrated GPU for only $50 more.

Acer Nitro V: 16" WUXGA 180Hz, Ryzen 7, NVIDIA RTX 5050, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD $749

I will be returning this $699 version and I ordered the $749 version with the Ryzen 7.

Thanks for the info. Where did you locate this spec? I can't find it anywhere. In my opinion, the screen still looks really nice.
