where he fails to mention that there is any battery drain at all, not a great review since he omits the most important concern those who have and plan to buy this have.

I'm surprised this isn't more popular. I have the RTX4050 6gb version and can run Arc Raiders on Epic and most titles really well. This machine is even more powerful and an excellent price.

I have both at home, the LOQ has a nicer more accurate screen, and it comes with a 245W charger. The Nitro has battery drain issues in 2 of the 4 power profiles, and sometimes drains as much as 30% in an hour while gaming, when plugged in. Games that push the CPU and GPU (ARC Raiders/ Fortnite etc..) will eat up battery fast even while plugged in. Its a shame, because otherwise its the perfect buget laptop. I'd recommend going with the Lenovo LOQ as long as you are okay with the Intel Chip running a bit hotter than the AMD CPU.

I have the laptop at home, I really like it but the battery drain issue is a major concern. It can drain up to 30% in an hour while gaming, so after 2 hours will auto throttle itself and lower performance. It only happens in Perf. and Turbo modes, while in quiet or balanced you should be fine, but you should be aware of that issue.

Will keep it plugged in mostly. Which power profile to use for less drain. Are they going to fix that or is it a forever issue with this one?

I saw it can power thru one of if USB C port, for display and data. I have a 245 wattts docking station. I hope it works and prevents the battery drain. If not I will call customer service and see if they can upgrade the charger.

I've found that Balanced Profile does just fine, no battery drain issues and its only a couple of fps loss vs performance and turbo modes. I have been watching GoodTalkHQ on YouTube, he has some benchmarking tests.

From the videos and reading I've done, a charger over 135w won't currently make a difference because the system is locked for 135w.

Also picked this up at Walmart several days ago with a $30 discount on clearance.
