The TCL 85Q751G is a high-value 85-inch 4K QLED smart TV that delivers strong performance for its price, making it an excellent choice for budget-conscious buyers seeking a large-screen experience without sacrificing core features.
Pros:
Excellent Value: Priced around $900–$1,000, it offers premium features like QLED color, 120Hz refresh rate, and HDMI 2.1 at a fraction of the cost of high-end brands.
Great Picture Quality: The 4K UHD QLED panel produces vibrant colors, good brightness, and solid contrast. Support for multiple HDR formats—including Dolby Vision and HDR10+—ensures dynamic, detailed images across various content types.
Smooth Performance: The 120Hz refresh rate and FreeSync Premium Pro support make it a solid pick for gamers, reducing motion blur and eliminating screen tearing on compatible devices.
User-Friendly Smart Platform: Google TV provides a clean, intuitive interface with personalized recommendations and seamless access to major streaming apps. Built-in Google Assistant and Alexa support enhance voice control options.
Ample Connectivity: Four HDMI 2.1 ports are a standout feature at this price, enabling connections to gaming consoles, soundbars, and other devices with full bandwidth support (4K@120Hz, VRR, ALLM).
Strong Audio for Built-In Speakers: At 15W, the speakers deliver clear, room-filling sound suitable for everyday use, though audiophiles will still benefit from adding a soundbar.
Cons:
Viewing Angles and Uniformity: Like many edge-lit LED TVs, picture quality can diminish at wide viewing angles, and some backlight uniformity issues may be noticeable in dark scenes.
No Advanced Local Dimming: While it performs well in most lighting conditions, it lacks the deep blacks of higher-end models with full-array local dimming.
Verdict: The TCL 85Q751G stands out as a top-tier value pick in the large-screen TV market. It balances size, picture quality, gaming readiness, and smart features effectively. Ideal for movie lovers, casual gamers, and families, it offers a premium viewing experience at a mid-range price. While it doesn't match flagship OLEDs in contrast or viewing angles, it delivers exceptional bang for the buck.
Rating: 4.5 out of 5
Best for: Budget-focused buyers wanting a big, bright, and feature-rich 4K TV.

The Costco one might be be slightly less bright then the 85QM751G, but I'm not sure it's worth giving up the 5 year warranty, a year younger processor, $500 cheaper, and the fact you are buying it from Costco over Best Buy. I saw the 98 inch in the store today, and it looked phenomenal for a middle range TV.
This is kind of a hard decision, as there isn't really a great comparison available, especially since the model names of all of these are beyond confusing, but the costco QM6k PRO version is MUCH better than this TV.
This is the RTINGs review that is CLOSEST to this TV, which is the previous year's model and very similar:
