This promotional offer similar with Xfinity mobile in the past. I was able to get a new phone at pretty decent deal and keep my current cheap plan (by the gig). They change the promotion this year, unfortunately. We have to subscribe to their premium unlimited plan to be eligible for subsidized phone offer. I don't have cox network in my area.
The line is 16.67 with taxes/month
16.67x24=400.08
I got a cracked screen iPhone 14 (in working order) for 140$
10$ activation fee
77$ taxes on the phone in Virginia where I'm at
400+140+77+10=627
In 2 month you can add another carrier
Got this message "Cox Mobile requires an internet service plan. Please add an Internet service plan before checking out."

You can chat with customer rep, that will retain the internet charge
Editedisregard, someone already answered this with the 60 day unlock for carrier switch. Original question:Wait... I don't care for this $15/mo COX mobile plan but it's required. So once I confirm and get the phone, am I able to just ignore the COX mobile plan and immediately switch to my existing AT&T eSIM? Can anyone confirm this?
Cox wised up. The iPhone 15 promo was great. Rebate was paid out via gift card and didn't require a 2 year commitment.
Service was garbage in my area so I didn't feel bad cancelling service.
I wouldn't do that promo anyway. They farked mine up so bad I wouldn't try it again. I only got traction after months by mailing a physical letter to their legal department informing them I'm starting arbitration process and informing them if I didn't get the rebate by the end of that, I'm also informing them that I'm escalating beyond that to suing them. Every single person I ever talked to admitted I qualified and they weren't sure what the issue was but... the rebates never came. fark Cox mobile.
Oh yeah the rebate never came by itself. Filing an FCC claim resolved it in 2 weeks though. I was assigned a case manager who pushed it and I got my 2cards in under 2 weeks.
Have Cox available in my area but I don't want to use it for internet. Could we place the order and then cancel internet after first month and keep just the cell plan?

Thinking of getting this, leaving the phones in a drawer for 60 days.
Then loading my Tmo eSIMs on them. I need to use 2 sims, so Cox sim would have to go.
I will keep paying for 2 years but cox sim would be gone. Would that be an issue, phone with 0 activity?

So can you just have two eSIMs on the phone? As long as the phone is "on" the cox line?
