Cox wised up. The iPhone 15 promo was great. Rebate was paid out via gift card and didn't require a 2 year commitment.
Service was garbage in my area so I didn't feel bad cancelling service.
Cox device unlock policy says device payment plan should be fully paid off for the device to be unlocked. Not sure If it's fully paid off, monthly credits stop. Please check before ordering
Under the Promotion terms & conditions states: Requires active Cox post-paid internet, enrollment in paperless billing and Cox EasyPay. Did anyone get this iPhone17 Pro / Max $1100 off without hacing Cox post-paid internet?

Good question. I don't even have Cox home-internet in my area

can someone confirm if we need to pay the device off before they will unlock it?
I am still paying off my device, and can confirm you can unlock it after 60 days. You could keep your Cox number and then use another service for Data (Assuming they support eSIM). I have to pay off my phone through Citizen Pay, which Cox matches my payment dollar fo dollar. I know they discontinued citizen so I am not sure how the current pay off structure works.

You're not eligible without active Cox home Internet
"Requires active Cox post-paid internet, enrollment in paperless billing and Cox EasyPay. Offer ends 10/2/25. Subject to change. Requires trade-in of an eligible device and activation and purchase on a new Cox Mobile line of Apple iPhone 17 Pro 256GB device financed on a $0 down/0% APR, 24-month Cox Device Payment Plan ("DPP") for well-qualified customers. Limit one device per line. Receive $1,099.99 off device cost in 24 monthly bill credits starting within 3 billing cycles. If line is canceled, voluntarily or involuntarily, transferred or financed device is removed from Cox Mobile line, bill credits will stop, and customer is responsible for full monthly payments for the remainder of DPP."
Edited:
Disregard, someone already answered this with the 60 day unlock for carrier switch.
Original question:
Wait... I don't care for this $15/mo COX mobile plan but it's required. So once I confirm and get the phone, am I able to just ignore the COX mobile plan and immediately switch to my existing AT&T eSIM? Can anyone confirm this?
