Lmao, no. Clean energy means the inverter produces consistent power so there isn't big spikes that can harm sensitive electronics.

That's great. And how many of them are running on a $199 3500W generator?

That's the best part, a "sEnSiTiVe" 450W PSU doesn't know (nor care) if it is drawing power from a 4000W generator that costs $200 or a 40kW generator that costs $500,000-$1,000,000. From an electrical standpoint, they are identical at the point of use.

Is this clean energy?
You are recycling fossilized petroleum...so, yes?

Jokes aside, can the "SeNsItIvE ElEcTrOnIcS" people find a new hobby? A majority of schools, hospitals, hotels, even data centers are backed up with large CAT diesel gennies and only the most....sensitive (and high dollar devices) protected behind line conditioners. If 500 PC's in a school can be directly powered off that generator, I'm sure your 42" Roku will be just fine. Not to mention, many US power systems have worse power quality than a decently maintained home generator or the fact every time your HVAC system kicks on or you use a shop vac, you are doing far worse to anything else running off that same breaker panel (not just circuit).

Probably just Motel 6, Kaiser, and USC.

Who said they did?

My point is the power (as long as within spec) is the same to the point of use device. Unless you believe electrons dance differently depending on the price tag of the machines that moved them?

We'll if a PC at Motel 6 doesn't explode then a PC at your house should be fine too. Unless it is more of the ambiance that surrounds the electricity is what really matters to those pesky "sensitive electronics."

Honestly, there is probably just as much scientific evidence for that vs any (properly functioning) generator frying (properly functioning) electronics, even the easily offended, err sensitive ones Wink

Pretty sure that's the return policy on all generators and pressure washers.

Nevermind that those big CAT diesel generators have voltage regulators that cost an order of magnitude more than this little thing does. shake head

people who are saying wattage rating is all that matters for power supplies need some education about AC power delivery, waveforms and filters.

This is about as basic a generator as you can get. Will it power stuff, yes, Will it get you through an emergency, Sure. Would it be a great generator for powering a off grid cabin, probably (except for the fuel use and noise). For $200, it is something I want to buy and store for when power goes out, I can sell it for double what I paid for it (if I were they type to do that kind of thing).
Is it something I would want to run on a regular basis for power outages, nope.

Well look at that, another Zombie company.
Owned by Briggs and Stratton though they are changing the licensing on these to DNA (Daye North America) which might explain the low price.

Just get a UPS and connect it first . It will help clean up the noise
UPS would freak out and with dirty electricity and kill you from all the beeping. Since every room I have has a UPS, I went ahead and bought an inverter generator so I wouldnt have the beeping problem.
