This would have been a much better deal if they didn't give some groups two day early access so they could wipe out the good inventory. I signed up two weeks ahead of time to get early access yesterday and the glove I wanted was already gone. The promo code for early access also didn't arrive via email until 10P when it was supposed to arrive before 10A. Wilson really screwed this one up. Still, a good deal if something you want happens to still be in stock.

this seems like a crazy price for a baseball glove, no wonder kids have moved towards other sports. anything special about these gloves that make the price so high?

These are stupid cheap. Also, the kids gloves are even cheaper.
The biggest change with higher quality gloves is durability. An A2000 will last 5+ seasons and still be fresh, whereas a cheaper Rawlings Sandlot might be done after a season.

A2000 and A2K are pro grade models that MLB and high level players use. They're made with higher quality leather and generally won't get as "floppy" compared to lower-end gloves.
