Since the first preorders back in July and August, how well has this unit been received by the general public (not paid reviewers)? Is this still considered the best bang for the buck this year?

Exceptionally well, but Jackery has the Explorer 1000 v2 priced about the same, and Ecoflow has the Delta 3 (not plus model) for around the same so lots of options. At regular prices, the Bluetti is the best bang for the buck but with the other two being on sale for around $400, it's a toss up.
