Refresh Hot Deals on navigate

I'm an old school Slickdealer so I'm not the biggest fan of the new app, but it is what it is..
The one thing that drives me insane is how the Hot Deals page refresh is treated differently since it has a dedicated page/tab.
Eg. If you navigate to Hot Deals, browse around, navigate to Deal Talk, then navigate back to Hot Deals - it continues to leave off where you were instead of reloading. If you did the opposite flow, you'll see that Deal Talk reloads every time.
I imagine the current behavior has something to do with the dedicated Hot Deals page, but it's a huge annoyance since it forces a refresh by scrolling all the way up.
My two primary flows are between Hot Deals and Deal Talk, both sorted by new comments (forum style). The persist on the Hot Deals page is pretty annoying. Just my thoughts!
Edit: Forgot to mention, I'm on the latest iOS app.
