this actually works pretty well. I keep Skil 12v tools for the family to use and keep my Milwaukee Fuel tools behind a locked cabinet. I will reach for this sometimes, instead of my Milwaukee Installation driver or M12 Surge for quick jobs and it does well. Not as good as the M12 Surge, but good enough for most diy homeowners for a great price.

The battery has an output for a USB C, so you can use it to charge other devices. Not sure how many tools are in the Skil lineup these days, or how long this platform will be around. Lowe's already has Kobalt and Craftsman as their low cost alternatives, so not sure how long they'll continue to sell this particular line.

The Skill 12V line is shockingly decent.

Probably as long as Lowes sells Ego at the top end, kobalt at the mid range, and skil at the low end market.....

I got this during prime day and returned it because it was very slow.

The fact that you can charge these with USBC but Milwaukee still needs proprietary chargers is quite disappointing. Then again, that's the company that could implement battery balancing on their batteries with its already included hardware and yet they don't, so it's to be expected I guess.

Well - a skill 40v battery burned half my house down and the Milwaukee stuff all survived without any cell failures (not going to use it obviously). Something to be said for real engineering instead of a Chinese holding company masquerading as what was Skil tools.

I own this and it is quite useful around small projects, don't expect to be doing any structures with it though.

I suppose the best use case of this tool is a workflow with a lot of predrills in softer materials, such as installing deck boards. 350in-lb torque is definitely not enough for framing, predrill or not. A combination of a drill and an impact driver is not any slower in either case, no mentioning serious DIYers and builders are probably not invested in Skil tools. Not recommended.
