Is this the 45% NTSC or 100% sRGB display?

Doesn't seem like a good deal to me at all.

You can get an excellent refurb of an HP Elitebook with a 5650U for ~250 from a variety of outlets. The Elitebook has far better build quality, speakers, more expand-ability and better overall design. Not to mention the listing on this says it doesn't even come with an OS.

Additionally, the i7-1185G7 CPU in this Dell is about 30% slower than the Ryzen 5650U in the HP Elitebook. And the GPU is worse as well.

Just don't see any reason to get this compared to the multitude of other laptop deals.

You're not going to get a seller ... because it's BS ...when are slickdeals readers ever going to think for themselves rather than reading posts from slickdrals trolls.

These came in three flavors:

1.12 kg (2.48 lb) - Carbon Fiber
1.29 kg (2.84 lb) - Aluminium
1.39 kg (3.06 lb) - 2-in-1

The picture shows carbon fiber on the top but it's just a stock photo. Kinda tempting, I want a cheapo sub 2.5 lb laptop for travel, I don't mind an 11th gen i7 for the next few years, heck I only play one game time to time and the Iris xe runs it fine even. I'm held back by its current battery capacity and if it's kept 80+% total cap, since it's a 2021 laptop.

If this deal is a carbon fiber body, it's .5 lb (maybe more?) lighter than that elitebook.

That's the list price from 2021. No one ever pays that, even back then.

Care to show where you get the information that the Intel Iris Xe G7 Graphics (96 EUs) is "worse" than the AMD Radeon Vega? To the best of my knowledge, it is not.
Secondly, the i7-1185G7 is faster in multi-core performance, while the 5650U is faster in single-core performance. Depending on your needs, the preferred processor can differ. More importantly, these are two different-sized laptops; this Dell is a true ultrabook, while the EliteBook you're talking about is a 14", which does matter to people who travel a lot. Because this is smaller, it is noticeably lighter than the EliteBook. Both have an all-aluminium build, so I don't know on what basis you're calling the EB build quality better. Additionally, this has 2x Thunderbolt 4 ports while the EliteBook has plain USB-C ports, a big difference to many.
Please don't misguide people without complete knowledge of the matter.

these eBay stores selling refurb have zero incentive to make sure your battery isn't on its last legs, why do people buy these, is it because they factor in the cost of replacing battery? a lot of laptops nowadays have the battery embedded deep and it's not easy to replace also

The 5650U is absolutely not slower than this i7 in multi-core performance. The AMD has 6 physical cores and 12 threads, vs the 4 physical cores and 8 threads in the i7.
