In my experience, while Cuisinart has some decent silicone utensils, their nylon utensils don't hold up at the claimed temperatures, and are on the whole more rigid than you want them to be.

I don't recommend these.

I have this, paid $20 from Sam's Club and would buy again. These have little stands that raise the head off of the counter.

Stick with silicon. Black plastic can be made of recycled electronics and have toxins in them released when they are exposed to heat.

These are fine tools when used correctly.
If you find yourself melting plastic or silicone utensils in a frying pan consider using wooden ones.

The spoons/scoops nobody should be melting as they are only exposed to temps around that of boiling water.

Metal utensils will scratch the coating off your cookware (and into your food.)

They should only been used with stainless or cast-iron cookware.

They are only needed when working with boiling oil.

Good metal utensils are hard to find. Most are minimally finished. They dont bother to round over all the sharp edges which make them hard to clean.

Nylon can be fine. Lower temperature than silicone, but better formulation nylon isn't bad. My claim here is that Cuisinart nylon utensils are not among the better quality ones. Better than what you get from a dollar store, but not great.
